Sandrine Piret-Gerard, Chief Commercialization Officer (CCO) at argenx, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Almost 4 months into a new role, in a new company, in a new city… and I can finally say: I’m starting to come up for air.
The first months were intense. Constantly feeling a step behind, second-guessing simple things, wondering who to reach out to, traveling around the world to meet the teams in person, ending days with a full head and the feeling of still missing pieces.
And then, little by little, something shifted.
I started recognizing faces, knowing where to go and who to ask, connecting dots that didn’t make sense before.
It’s not that everything is clear – far from it – but the fog is lifting. I’m starting to see the forest, not just the trees.
And outside of work, life is starting to find its rhythm too.
Spring showed up, cherry blossoms included. The cold and snow are (finally) behind us in Boston. The boxes are unpacked – I’ve moved from a temporary place into a permanent one. I’m starting to build a local network, meet new people and friends, and carve out time for me again.
There’s something about that combination – things clicking at work, and feeling more settled in life – that makes everything a bit lighter.
Still early, still learning, but starting to feel at home. And a good reminder: in the middle of all this, don’t forget to take care of yourself and make space to breathe.”
