Sandrine Piret-Gerard, Senior Vice President, US Commercial at Gilead Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Every 15 seconds, someone in the U.S. hears the words, “You have cancer.”
This diagnosis changes everything. It reshapes how you see life – and reminds you how powerful hope, science, and community can be.
When I moved to San Francisco, I wanted to do more than live there – I wanted to contribute. I’m honored to serve as a Board Ambassador for the American Cancer Society and support their San Francisco Discovery Gala that took place this weekend.
What made the evening especially meaningful was attending alongside Jackie and Lisa (pictured below), two incredible women living with cancer who embody resilience and courage – and who remind us of the life-changing impact of cancer research.
As someone working at Gilead Sciences, I’m proud to be part of an organization that believes in the power of scientific innovation and community partnership to advance cancer care. Each voice, each story, and each contribution plays a role in driving progress. Meaningful impact starts with showing up – to listen, to learn, and to stand alongside those who dedicate their lives to ending cancer.
Grateful to be part of a community turning hope into healing and progress into cures.”
