“The brilliant Cancer Research UK (CRUK) ACED programme is looking for talented clinicians to take up a PhD in the exciting area of early detection and prevention of cancer.
This includes an opportunity to join our CandyLab operating between Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute and The Francis Crick Institute.
You would be joining a multidisciplinary programme exploring
- biology and immunology of pre-malignant disease through cutting-edge immuno-genomics approaches (antigen discovery in pre-malignant disease)
- spatial biology
- computational and AI approaches.
Research spans the exposome,
- clonal evolution
- inherited cancer predisposition
- pre-clinical models
- population-scale data integration
with UK Biobank and Our Future Health.
Happy to accommodate wet or dry lab projects based on the candidate’s aptitude and interests.
