Sachin Jain: Leaders Have to Build Cultures that Reward Results Over Rhetoric
Sachin Jain, President and CEO of SCAN Group and Health Plan, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen people equate saying they’ve done something with actually doing it. The press release, the kickoff meeting, the announcement. These create the illusion of progress, but not the reality.
Why?
Because talking about something gives a quick dopamine hit. The applause, the nods, the “likes.” They feel good. Sometimes better than the harder, slower satisfaction of actually getting it done.
But here’s the truth: execution is messy. It’s unglamorous. It requires persistence, iteration, and setbacks. No standing ovations. Just grind.
Leaders have to build cultures that reward results over rhetoric.
Not “what was said?” but “what was done?”
How do you keep your teams focused on doing over declaring?”
