Rob Winn, Director at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As we close today’s Gordon Ginder Innovations in Cancer Symposium, I want to take a moment to simply say: thank you.
What we experienced today was powerful. From foundational insights into the role of epigenetics in cancer, to cutting-edge discoveries in immunotherapy, tumor biology, and targeted treatments, this gathering showcased the very best of what science and collaboration can achieve for community.
To our extraordinary speakers and panelists: thank you for sharing your expertise and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. To our patients who courageously shared their stories, you remind us why this work matters. And to every researcher, clinician, trainee, and partner in the room, your commitment is what drives progress forward.
Today was also a tribute to Dr. Gordon Ginder/FS/VCU . His legacy is reflected in moments like this, where innovation, collaboration, and purpose come together to move us closer to better outcomes for our patients.
But what’s most important is this: today is not an endpoint.
It’s momentum.
The ideas sparked here, the connections made, and the knowledge shared will carry forward into new discoveries, new treatments, and new hope for the communities we serve.
Thank you for being part of this journey, and for all that you do to advance the fight against cancer.
Let’s keep moving forward. Together.”
