“I had the incredible honor of joining VCU Athletics for Massey Night at the Women’s Basketball game against Maine, and the Rams came out with the win!
Rachel Pierce opened the night beautifully by singing the national anthem, setting the tone for an unforgettable game.
Katherine Tossas and Kandace McGuire stepped in as a special guest coaches. We proudly hosted Massey employees, community members, and our amazing Cancer Champs, all enjoying a powerful night with their families.
I also had the privilege of presenting the game ball, bringing energy and excitement as we kicked off the matchup.
We celebrated our Director of Executive Communications Nicole Hansen, who was honored on the court alongside her family and her physicians, Mary Helen Hackney and Dr. McGuire in recognition of her strength and courage in facing breast cancer this past year.
A truly inspiring evening, Massey strong and Rams victorious!”
