”Strengthening our clinical cancer research connections in Australia.
The Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research team attended the MASCC/ISOO 2026 Annual Meeting in Melbourne (25–27 June) – a conference dedicated to supportive care, spotlighting innovative clinical solutions for symptom management in cancer care.
A few highlights:
- Our grantee Dr. Susan Peterson (MD Anderson Cancer Center) presented her research on remote symptom monitoring, and Advisory Board member Prof. William Dale (City of Hope) spoke on digital health and healthcare disparities for geriatric patients.
- The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) kindly promoted our Early Career in Supportive Care program during the conference – a program funding innovative clinical research in supportive cancer care and creating opportunities for early career researchers.
We also visited two leading Australian institutions:
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and the The Westmead Institute for Medical Research in Sydney – exploring shared priorities across radiotherapy, surgery and supportive care with Peter Mac, and reinforcing our longstanding collaboration with WIMR. These visits reflect our ongoing commitment to advancing innovative, patient-focused cancer research.
