“Today marks the release of Cannabis and Cancer, a science documentary I wrote and hosted, now streaming on Apple TV.
The film examines the evidence on cannabis and cancer, including its relationship to cancer risk and its potential role in cancer care. Having published several studies on this topic, I have seen firsthand the significant public interest, as well as public confusion, surrounding the influence of cannabis on cancer development, prevention, and treatment.
My goal with this documentary is to make a complex and often misunderstood topic more accessible to a broad audience. I am grateful to my talented animation and editing team for helping communicate the science clearly and thoughtfully.
