Princess Dina Mired: Every Time I Wanted to Give Up, I Remembered the Generation of Our Survivors

Princess Dina Mired, Past President of the Union for International Cancer Control, Member of WHO Expert Technical Group for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Every time I wanted to give up, I remembered that we created a generation of cancer survivors and patients in Gaza who deserve to have someone speak on their behalf.

You are killing us. You are depriving us. We are hungry. We need clean water. We need medication. But you can’t stop us from living.

One night I was looking at the sky, asking God: ‘Is this a dream, or was our past life the dream?’

In this episode of Global Health Dialogues, Eman shares her personal experience as a cancer survivor, the realities of supporting patients in Gaza, the impact of war on cancer care, and her journey of resilience, loss, advocacy, and hope in the face of unimaginable challenges.”
