Ed Kim, Physician-in-Chief of Orange County at City of Hope, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Across City of Hope’s national system of care, our providers are receiving pink lab coats to wear during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We are coming together to say pink has a purpose.
Our teams and community partners are united in urging wider access to breast cancer screenings, more research focused on breast cancer in younger women, and earlier risk assessments for the disease that impacts 1 in 8 women in their lifetime.
Thank you to our dedicated faculty for making research breakthroughs that are saving lives and to everyone standing with us. Most importantly, thank you to our grateful patients for trusting us with your care. You are the reason for everything we do.”
