2026 Peter Mac Research Symposium Showcases Research and Collaboration – Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre shared on LinkedIn:

“What happens when 400 of the brightest minds in cancer research come together in one room?

Today marked the opening of the 2026 Peter Mac Research Symposium – two days dedicated to sharing discoveries, challenging ideas and strengthening the collaborations that drive better outcomes for people with cancer.

From laboratory science and clinical trials to health services research and consumer partnerships, the symposium showcases the extraordinary breadth of research happening across Peter Mac and beyond.

One of the most valuable parts of the event isn’t just what’s happening on stage.

It’s the conversations between sessions, the new connections made across laboratories, departments and disciplines, and the collaborations that can spark the next breakthrough.

A huge thank you to our organising committee for delivering another outstanding symposium, and to our sponsors and partners whose generous support has made this event possible.

Special thanks to our Gold Sponsors Johnson and Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb and AbbVie; Silver Sponsor Gilead Sciences Australia and Kite Pharma; Bronze Sponsors Novartis and Waters Biosciences (Formerly BD Biosciences) and Blue Sponsor Evident Microscopy for supporting the event.

An inspiring first day of learning, collaboration and connection.

Bring on day two tomorrow!”
