Penilla Gunther, Former Member of Swedish Parliament and Founder of FOKUS Patient, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Back in Sweden from Athens since the night of yesterday, I like to sincerely thank George Kapetanakis and Marina Ximeri from Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK) for invitation and such a wonderful hosting!
I had the honor of being part of two panels, one about the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) – Challenges, Continuity, Alternative Funding Streams with Richard Price from European Cancer Organisation as the moderator, and the second panel about Synergies in action: Cardio-oncology as a model for intergrated holistic care pathways,
with moderator Anthi Angelopoulou and also my colleague from Cancer Mission Board, Christos Tsagkaris.
It is now very encouraging to see the unity from the greek cardiology and oncology socitites that this field will be subject for collaboration together with Hellenic Cancer Federation (ELLOK).
This is an important topic fo me, not he least because I have an experience myself from both cancer and heart failure and has been a part of Heart Failure Policy Network for many years.
Very nice also to listen to the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis who has appointed George Kapetanakis to lead the work with the National Cancer Plan for Greece and to meet Mădălina Iamandei, ALLCAN International Pte. Ltd., Zisis Kozlakidis from IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization – and many more!
A heartful thank you for a great meeting!”
