“Who Is AIEOP – Fifty years built on scientific research and knowledge sharing, reaching higher and aiming further.

Celebrating 50 years of dedication to pediatric oncology care – the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (AIEOP), which was founded in 1975, brings together 50 centers across Italy dedicated to improving care and research for children and adolescents with cancer, blood, and immune disorders.

Here’s an overview of the Association’s key areas:

  •  Leadership: Board of Directors: 1 President, 1 Vice President, 5 Board Members, 1 Secretary
  •  Operations Center: Manages regulatory processes, oversees AIEOP clinical studies, and supervises the Data Center (73,000 patients, 70 study databases)
  •  AIEOP Network: 50 centers providing integrated care
  •  Centralized Laboratories: 15 labs handling an average of 4,000 samples per year for multiple centers
  •  Survivorship Passport: Implemented in all network centers with over 2,700 passports generated
  •  Annual Events: AIEOP Congress, AIEOP in Lab, 3-Year Training Course, seminars & webinars
