“I’m excited to join ABC Global Alliance on February 5 for an important conversation about access to advanced breast cancer (ABC) treatment in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The question for LMICs is not just about how do we gain access to medicines but rather, ‘How do we strengthen our health systems to make access to new treatments possible?’
Countries must enact health system changes that ensure access to ABC treatment is sustainable for patients. It’s a big challenge, but when advocates are equipped for the right conversations, results happen.
I’ll share insights about how our collaboration at The Max Foundation with ABC Global Alliance illustrates a winning strategy for ABC advocates and clinicians by focusing on a human-centered health system strengthening approach.
