Partha Basu: Clinical Validation of Four HPV Detection Tests Using Bio-Banked Samples at IARC

Partha Basu, Head of the Early Detection, Prevention and Infections Branch at International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I am pleased to share our latest publication in the Int J Cancer describing the clinical validation of four HPV detection tests using bio-banked samples at the IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization.

All the tests are indigenously produced in India. The TruNat test that fulfilled the validation criteria is a near point-of-care test and is the first 8-valent LMIC-adapted test to be validated clinically.

This is a great news not only for India but also for other LMICs struggling to get an affordable HPV test. The validated TruNat test platform is very widely available in LMICs for other tests.”
