“Glad to report the significant progress made in developing the European recommendations on cervical cancer screening as part of the European Commission Initiative on Cervical Cancer (ECI-CvC) being led by IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization in collaboration with JRC, Ispra.
Nearly 20 experts deliberated over 3 days to draft the recommendations on tailored screening of the HPV vaccinated populations in the EU. We hope to report the outcomes of the meeting soon. I thank all the experts, especially Drs. Nathalie Broutet and Amir Qaseem, the chairs of the initiative. Huge credit goes to my excellent team at IARC for doing all the preparatory work for the recommendations.”
