Paolo Tarantino: Delighted to Have Handled Two Excellent Concomitant Publications at ESMO 2026

Paolo Tarantino, Clinical Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared European Society for Medical Oncology’s (ESMO) post on LinkedIn, adding:

“Concomitant publications require extra effort from authors, reviewers, and editorial teams, but help get outstanding science out quickly, where it can make a difference for patients.

Delighted to have handled two excellent concomitant publications at ESMO 2026, in my role as Breast Cancer Associate Editor at ESMO Open:

  • Kazuki Nozawa: MRD dynamics in exceptional responders with HER2+ breast cancer.
  • Sarah Sammons: The BRIDGET trial, with findings that immediately inform the management of patients with isolated HER2+ brain progression.

A demanding but incredibly rewarding process. Congratulations to both teams, and thanks to everyone who made it possible!”

Quoting European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO):

“Concomitant publications at ESMO26: new data moving swiftly from the podium to the peer-reviewed journals, highlighting the strength of collaboration between researchers, clinicians and publications to ensure new data is immediately accessible to the global oncology community.”
