Oscar Tahuahua, Medical Oncology Fellow at the National Cancer Institute of Mexico, shared a post on X about a paper by Mariana Brandão et al. published in Lung Cancer:
“EORTC consensus on resectable stage III NSCLC
105 cases reviewed by 53 experts. Resectability criteria for trials and practice.
A TNM subset was resectable if more than 75% agreed. T1–T4 (size/satellite) w/ N0–N2 single were resectable; N2 multi, bulky/invasive and N3 were unresectable. Only T4 invasion–N0 without consensus.
Most unresectable cases combined more than 2 major anatomic factors.”
