Free Cervical Cancer Screening Promotes Prevention and Early Detection in Abuja – ONS-Nigeria

Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS- Nigeria) shared on LinkedIn:

“At the 2nd National Oncology Nursing Conference 2026, we didn’t just talk about cancer prevention, we took action.

As part of the conference activities, free cervical cancer screening was provided to women at the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, Abuja.

This initiative created an opportunity for women to take a proactive step toward their health through early detection and prevention.

Because cervical cancer can be prevented, and when detected early, lives can be saved.

Every woman screened represents one more step toward a future where fewer women are lost to a preventable cancer.

Cancer care is more than treatment. It is prevention, early detection, education, and action.”
