Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS-Nigeria) shared on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, at the 2nd National Oncology Nursing Conference 2026 in Abuja, the 2026 Fellowship Cohort was formally inducted into the fellowship marking a significant milestone in their professional journey and commitment to advancing oncology nursing.
The ceremony began with Induction Remarks delivered by the Fellowship Class Representative, Caroline Chukwu setting the tone for a memorable occasion.
This was followed by an inspiring Induction Lecture, ‘Oncology Nursing and Cancer Care through Vision, Leadership in Africa: Transforming Collaboration and Action,’ delivered by Prof. Lydia Aziato.
The lecture was a powerful reminder that the future of cancer care in Africa will require more than expertise. It will require visionary leadership, collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to turning knowledge into action.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Fellowship Induction and Presentation of Inductees, led by Prof. Chinomso Nwozichi, as the 2026 cohort officially joined the fellowship.
To every new Fellow, congratulations!
May this fellowship mark not just an achievement, but the beginning of an even greater journey of leadership, service, scholarship, and impact in oncology nursing and cancer care across Africa.
Welcome to the fellowship. The work continues.”
