Oiza Tessy Ahmadu: Nigeria’s Voice at the ABC8 Global Breast Cancer Conference

Oiza Tessy Ahmadu, Chairman Research and Development Committee at National Technical Working Group on Nuclear Medicine in Nigeria, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“ABC8 – Advanced Breast Cancer Global Alliance Conference, Portugal.

Honoured to be part of ABC8 6th to 8th November 2015 in Lisbon Portugal.

I presented the Preliminary findings of our work titled ‘Pregnancy, Fertility and Treatment: investigating Oncofertility in Female Metastatic Breast Cancer Patients

This work is one of the numerous products of a long term collaboration between the Oncology Department Federal Medical Centre Abuja and Project PINK BLUE.

ABC8 was a powerful gathering of global stakeholders committed to advancing the holistic management of advanced breast cancer.

This conference was more than just science — it was about real conversations, real patients, and real solutions.

We explored best practices, innovations, and the importance of supportive care, patient voices, equity, and access.

I will outline some of my outstanding highlights of the conference in my subsequent posts.

Thanks to my ever supportive Medical Director Saad Ahmed and the entire management of FMC Abuja, Nigeria.

Thanks to Runcie C.W. Chidebe and his formidable team at Project PINK BLUE for the great partnership (will still make a whole write-up on how this is a perfect prototype for advancing cancer care in LMIC)

Thanks ABC Global Alliance for having me.”
