Oana Voicu, Medical Student, Research Team Member at Mission:brain – University of Milan shared on LinkedIn:
“Attending my very first ESMO Congress in Madrid was a truly unforgettable experience.
As a medical student stepping into the world of oncology, the Young Oncologists sessions felt perfectly tailored for someone at the beginning of their journey.
I particularly loved Dr. Mihaela Aldea’s fascinating talk on how AI and new technologies are advancing precision medicine, as well as the super practical sessions on how students should plan their future careers in healthcare and research.
What made this congress so special, though, were the people.
Reconnecting with the amazing friends I met during the ESMO Course for Medical Students in Valencia and connecting with so many dedicated doctors and fellow medical students was deeply inspiring.
I am immensely grateful to Prof. Andres Cervantes and Dr. Rodrigo Sanchez Bayona for their guidance, leadership, and incredible support in opening these doors for us.
Between the enriching sessions, taking in the energy of Madrid and unwinding at the OncoDaily party, with a warm thank you to Vahe Grigoryan for the invitation, made the week complete.
I’m leaving Madrid with a full heart, lasting connections, and renewed excitement for the path ahead!”
