Niranjala Siriwardena: Building a Global Movement for Workplace Cancer Survivorship
Niranjala Siriwardena, Cancer Survivor and Former Manager at PwC Australia, shared on LinkedIn:
“Thank You, Australia and beyond
Over the past few months, more than 158,000 people have joined the conversation on workplace cancer survivorship, sparking over 414,000 impressions and countless messages of support, collaboration and encouragement.
To each and every single person who reached out to review my white paper, share insights, offer collaboration opportunities and send a kind word — thank you. Your belief in this mission reminds me why this work matters.
To the top leaders already driving the cancer survivorship space – I look forward to contributing alongside you and working together to create beautiful, inclusive workplaces for every cancer survivor in the future.
This journey isn’t just about a policy. It’s about changing the way workplaces see, value, and protect people after cancer, ensuring dignity, equity, and opportunity for survivors in every industry.
The white paper is only the beginning. Together, we’re building a movement and movements need voices, expertise, and courage from all sides: survivors, employers, policymakers, healthcare leaders, and advocates.
If you’d like to be part of the next phase from review and endorsement to implementation and advocacy – I’d love to hear from you. Let’s keep this momentum going.
Here’s to reform that lasts and to every survivor who deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.”
