Nikolaos Vassos: Great Pleasure to Participate in the 34th Panhellenic Congress of Surgery

Nikolaos Vassos, Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology – Sarcoma, Melanoma and Rare Tumors Center at Athens Medical Grοup, and Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the European University Cyprus, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It was with great pleasure that I actively participated in the 34th Panhellenic Congress of Surgery through invited lectures, session chairing, and proposals aimed at enhancing the training of young surgical oncologists.

Particularly important was the section dedicated to Sarcomas, GISTs, and other rare tumors – one of the most demanding fields in Surgical Oncology, where experience and specialized expertise are of paramount importance.

Training the next generation of surgical oncologists with modern standards and a strong oncologic philosophy is a critical priority. The Hellenic Surgical Society and the Hellenic Society of Surgical Oncology play a significant role in this direction through their educational initiatives and activities.

It is an honor for me to contribute to this dialogue, to exchange experiences with colleagues and friends from Greece and abroad, to highlight the importance of rare tumors, and to actively support the effort toward a modern, structured, and unified educational framework in Surgical Oncology.”
