Nicole Michmerhuizen, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics at University of Rochester Medical Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“Last week I had the opportunity to attend the AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research: Bridging Discovery and Clinical Impact in Pediatric Cancer.
I had been looking forward to this meeting for several months, as I was invited to give an oral presentation on my work as the AACR- St. Baldrick’s Foundation Pediatric Cancer Research Grantee.
I spoke in the opening session (after my postdoctoral mentor Charles Mullighan), where I shared insights into NUP98-rearranged leukemia gained both during my postdoctoral fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and in my growing lab at the University of Rochester Medicine.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this possible and especially to American Association for Cancer Research and St. Baldrick’s Foundation for the opportunity and research support!
If you are interested in learning more, check out this blog post from AACR!”
