Nicholas Zaorsky: Analyzing the RVU Impact of Hypofractionation in Radiation Oncology
Sameer Keole, President of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and Medical Director of West Region at Mayo Clinic Platform, shared a post by Nicholas Zaorsky on X, adding:
”Great work by Nicholas Zaorsky
To generate the same RVUs, rad oncs must now see far more patients than they did 10 or 20 years ago
Fee-for-service worked for a while, but its time in RO has passed
Episodic payment (ROCR) makes far more sense for RO today.”
