Nataliya Kovalchuk, Clinical Professor at Stanford Radiation Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:
“Strengthening the RTT profession in Ukraine!
A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Sara Faithfull from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, for delivering an excellent lecture on ‘Early and Late Effects of Radiation Therapy’ as part of our European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO)-endorsed course, ‘Modern Radiation Therapy Practice for RTTs in Ukraine’.
Prof. Faithfull shared invaluable insights into radiation-induced toxicity, early and late treatment effects, and the essential role of radiation therapists (RTTs) in recognizing, managing, and supporting patients through treatment-related complications.
We are incredibly grateful for her expertise, time, and dedication to supporting Ukrainian RTTs and advancing patient-centered cancer care!
Lots of gratitude to Mykyta Hryhoriev for moderating and Yurii Velykoroda and Serhii Tiupa for interpeting.
