Naoto Ueno: University of Hawaii Receives $12M NIH Grant to Establish PAC-AID Center

Naoto Ueno, Director of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Excited to share that University of Hawai’i Cancer Center and University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine received more than $12 million from NIH to establish PAC-AID, the Pacific Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in Medicine.

This new center will advance AI and data science to improve health, strengthen research in Hawaiʻi, and address the needs of our communities across the Pacific. This will lead to creatiion of next generation of investigator in AI and data science.

Mahalo to Dr. John Shepherd, Dr. Youping Deng, and the entire team for moving this important vision forward.”
