Muhammad Shaheer Mannan: Proud to Receive the 2026 ASH Abstract Achievement Award

Muhammad Shaheer Mannan, Internal Medicine Resident at Marshfield Clinic Health System, shared on LinkedIn:

“I am truly honored and grateful to have been selected for the 2026 American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement Award for my first-author research.

While awards and accolades are meaningful milestones, I believe the true value of research lies far beyond recognition.

In hematology and oncology, every question we ask and every discovery we pursue ultimately serves a greater purpose: improving the lives of patients who place their trust and hope in us.

The thought that our work today might one day translate into better treatments, longer lives, and more precious moments with loved ones is what makes this journey so meaningful.

I am especially grateful to my oncology mentors, Dr. Qaisar Bashir, Dr. Faiz Anwer, and Dr. Moazzam Shahzad, whose mentorship, encouragement, and belief in me have been instrumental in shaping my journey in hematology and oncology.

My sincere gratitude also goes to my Program Director, Dr. Ateeq Rehman, for his unwavering support of my academic pursuits, and to Dr. Ahmad Basharat, Dr. Khurram Irshad Chattha, and Dr. Muhammad Usama Gilani for their continued guidance and encouragement.

As President of OSIG, I am proud to represent Sanford Health – Marshfield Clinic on this international academic platform.

The recognition is an honor. The opportunity to make a difference in a patient’s life is the real reward.

Looking forward to connecting with colleagues, friends, and mentors at ASH 2026 in New Orleans!”
