Mohamed Abazeed Receives Ryan Family Research Acceleration Fund Support at Northwestern

Mohamed Abazeed, Professor and Chair of Radiation Oncology at Northwestern Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Proud to share that our team in the Department of Radiation Oncology has been awarded support from the Ryan Family Research Acceleration Fund at Northwestern University.

This award advances our broader vision of building scalable, regulatory-aligned AI platforms that translate computational innovation into real clinical infrastructure.

We are developing integrated artificial intelligence systems designed not as isolated tools, but as deployable platforms embedded within oncology workflows. Acceleration funding is catalytic. It enables validation, regulatory advancement, and commercialization pathways that move innovation beyond publication and into clinical practice.

Grateful to our collaborators across Northwestern Medicine, the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and Northwestern University who are helping position Northwestern at the forefront of AI-enabled cancer care.

The future of oncology will be platform-driven, data-informed, and clinically integrated and we are building toward that future now.”
