“Our extended analysis from the TRACER study is out in ESMO Open!
We followed 121 patients with early-stage breast cancer treated with neoadjuvant therapy for a median of 4.2 years using an ultrasensitive, tumor-informed structural variant (SV) ctDNA assay (FoundationOne MRD).
Postoperative ctDNA detection maintained a 100% positive predictive value for distant recurrence with a median lead time to clinical recurrence of ~1 year.
Primary tumor SVs remained detectable at recurrence and throughout the metastatic setting in patients who continued with monitoring, allowing the same fingerprint to track disease across the disease continuum.
