Mila Pontremoli Salcedo Supports Cancer Screening Training Across Indonesia

Mila Pontremoli Salcedo, Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Our MD Anderson Cancer Center Global Oncology team was honored to celebrate World Cancer Day this week in Jakarta, Indonesia with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and colleagues from Dharmais Cancer Hospital.

As part of the week’s educational and training initiative, we partnered with our outstanding Indonesian colleagues to deliver the Integrated Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening and Early Detection Training. It was wonderful to see the turnout of healthcare professionals committed to strengthening screening and advancing care for cervical preinvasive disease across Indonesia, moving towards the cervical cancer elimination.

I am thankful to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, our colleagues from Dharmais Cancer Hospital and our MD Anderson team for an incredible week. I could not think of a better way to spend World Cancer Day – working together to End Cancer.”
