Mieke Van Hemelrijck, Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at King’s College London, shared post on LinkedIn:
“We made it! After a travel adventure across Europe, it’s wonderful to finally be in beautiful Copenhagen. The city centre and the nature reserve around our hotel/conference venue have been the perfect backdrop for the start of the EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Group meeting.
It’s already been a great kick-off with lots of exciting new ideas being presented. Our TOUR: Transforming Cancer Outcomes through Research team is looking forward to supporting and collaborating on many of these initiatives.
Stay tuned – soon you’ll hear from Jasmine Handford at King’s College London about the use of EORTC QoL questionnaires within the OMOP common data model OHDSI. A fantastic example of bridging clinical insights with data science to advance QoL research!”
