Michelle Mitchell: How Are Cancer Research UK Colleagues Making a Difference Together?

Michelle Mitchell, Chief Executive at Cancer Research UK, shared on LinkedIn:

“Something I cherish about colleagues across Cancer Research UK is their commitment to our mission.

Recently, teams across the organisation came together for Stand Up To Cancer staff week, and they threw themselves into fundraising activities, challenges and events in support of a cause that means so much to so many of us. I even found myself taking part in our own Pottery Throwdown alongside my colleagues in the executive team – let me know in the comments what you think of our efforts!

The creativity, energy and enthusiasm on display were remarkable and together colleagues raised over £50,000 for Stand Up To Cancer.

The research the Stand Up To Cancer campaign supports is changing lives and fundraising like this helps make the next advance possible. Every pound raised will help support research that can bring new tests and treatments to people affected by cancer faster.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who organised an event, volunteered their time, donated or encouraged others to get involved.

Thank you for helping make this year’s staff week such a success and for continuing to stand up to cancer.”
