“Today I enjoyed joining the first meeting of the National Cancer Board alongside leaders from across the cancer community.
The Government’s cancer commitments have the potential to make a real difference for people affected by cancer and their loved ones, but success will depend on turning those commitments into action.
At Cancer Research UK, we’re committed to playing our part, working alongside Government, the NHS, partners and the voice of cancer patients to help drive progress and lasting change.”
Quoting Department of Health and Social Care:
“We’re reforming the National Cancer Board to drive forward progress on cancer care.
The Board will oversee progress on the National Cancer Plan and help identify where further action is needed to give every patient the best possible care.
