“Researchers report that a new therapy helped people with increased levels of cholesterol and triglycerides maintain lower levels of these lipids for at least a year. A one-time CRISPR shot that keeps lipids down for a year.

That’s not a tweak. That’s a different model.

I entered a Phase 1 trial in 1998 when the only other option was a three-year clock. One protocol. One chance.

Still here 31 years later. Same pattern showing up again: edit the right gene once, and the body keeps the benefit. Small study. Severe cases. Highest dose cut LDL and triglycerides about in half and held it.

The question now is access, follow-up, and who gets in the next trials.
