Megan-Claire Chase: Advocacy Isn’t Limited to One Diagnosis

Megan-Claire Chase, Breast Cancer Program Director at SHARE Cancer Support, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Yesterday, my Breast Cancer REAL stepped into Blood Cancer REAL as I showed up in a different role, daughter and caregiver/co-survivor, for Blood Cancer United’s Southern Blood Cancer Conference in Midtown Atlanta.

My mother lives with myeloproliferative neoplasm – myelofibrosis (MPN-MF), a rare type of blood cancer.

Learn more about it here:

The conference was a reminder that advocacy isn’t limited to one diagnosis; it’s about standing beside those we love and using our voices to make a difference.

It was also such a joy to see some of my favorite people in this space, Mel Mann, MBA, M.Ed and Cecelia Mann and Tricia Hernandez (she/her/hers). Plus, I got to meet the dynamic keynote speaker, Dr. Damion Davis, and his lovely wife, Morgan.

Thank you, Blood Cancer United, for creating space for learning, community, and connection.”
