Transforming Lives Through Targeted Therapy: The Max Foundation and Andrew Odhiambo

The Max Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Even before officially registering as one of our medical partners in July 2022, Dr. Andrew Odhiambo had already spent over a decade volunteering at The Nairobi Hospital’s free clinic under the mentorship of Prof N.A. Othieno-Abinya.

In this video, Dr. Andrew shares the story of the first breast cancer patient he treated through our program. She had lost hope. But with access to targeted therapy, her life transformed as she returned to work and resumed a normal life.

‘It’s exciting to use targeted therapy to help someone resume a productive life. And it makes me so happy to be participating at such a time,’ Dr. Andrew says.

We’re proud to partner with compassionate leaders like Dr. Andrew, who has demonstrated unwavering dedication to patients since 2010.”

Andrew Odhiambo, Max Access Solution (MAS) Physician – Nairobi Hospital at The Max Foundation and Unit Head of Medical Oncology at the University of Nairobi, shared this post, adding:

“Honored to see this story told. What began as simple volunteer work became a lifelong mission to make cancer care accessible to every patient, regardless of status or income. Deeply grateful to The Nairobi Hospital team and to Prof N.A. Othieno-Abinya for the mentorship that shaped my path.”
