“Christmas is coming, and for many of us that means some well-deserved rest and coziness with family, relatives, and friends.
The daily reality in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek has taught me to see that they can also be days of extra loss or tension. Patients diagnosed with cancer in 2025, people anxiously awaiting a result, or loved ones who are missed, especially in these days, come a feeling of uncertainty and sadness.
For them, words of support and a promise: At the NKI-NKI, we will continue to work every day to improve treatment outcomes and strive for new therapies for tomorrow based on research. Despite all the uncertainty during Christmas, we wish patients and their loved ones an extra moment of love, strength, and perseverance.”
