“I love The Pitt. If you haven’t seen it yet, I would definitely encourage you to take a watch. I feel very much seen as a physician and its overall depiction of healthcare currently.
What if The Pitt… was oncology?
Such a cool article from Oncology News Central – and a lot of fun to contribute.
What would I want it to show?
- The incredible pace of new treatments
- Clinical trials changing what’s possible
- Patients living – and thriving – with cancer
- The uncertainty, difficult decisions, and relationships that define oncology
My biggest point: a lot of medical shows depict oncology mainly in the inpatient setting as hopeless most of the time – less so miraculous.
The reality is somewhere in between. And honestly, that story is compelling enough.
I’d watch The Pitt: Oncology. Would you?”
