Martha Wanjiru, Nurse Educator and ToT in Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment of Precancerous Lesions Screening, Cervical Advocate and Champion Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On a powerful moment in my journey – being part of the Uniting for Cervical Cancer Prevention meeting in Botswana.
This experience brought together passionate voices, shared purpose, and a collective commitment to eliminating cervical cancer as a public health problem. It was inspiring to engage with global and regional leaders, exchange knowledge, and strengthen strategies that prioritize prevention, early detection, and equitable access to care.
As a nurse deeply rooted in community-based screening and advocacy, this moment reaffirmed my belief: we can prevent cervical cancer – and we must act together to do so.
From Botswana to Kiambu County, the mission continues. Every outreach, every woman screened, every life touched brings us one step closer to a cervical cancer–free future.
Let us keep uniting, collaborating, and driving impact where it matters most.”
