Martha Wanjiru, Nurse educator and ToT in breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment of precancerous lesions screening, cervical advocate and champion Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Primary Health Care is where transformation begins.
If we strengthen primary health care services, everything else becomes achievable-early detection, timely treatment, equity, and dignity in care.
This is why I love showing up in the community. Because real impact doesn’t start in boardrooms-it starts with people, where they live, learn, work, and worship.
Community-based care is not an add-on; it is the foundation of Universal Health Coverage and sustainable health systems. This week I showed up in those remote areas of Kiambu county.”
