Martha Wanjiru: How Coordinated Advocacy Can Transform Cervical Cancer Outcomes

Martha Wanjiru, Nurse educator and ToT in breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment of precancerous lesions screening, cervical advocate and champion Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Grateful for the Journey, Coalition Building for Cervical Cancer Elimination.

I am honored to have participated in Session 5: Coalition Building Through Champions, part of the 8-Session Series focused on strengthening advocacy and collective action towards cervical cancer elimination.

My sincere appreciation goes to African Cervical Health Alliance (ACHA) for organizing this impactful learning series together with KILELE Health Association and team for their continued commitment to advancing cervical cancer prevention and elimination.

This session reaffirmed the power of champions, partnerships, and coordinated advocacy in driving sustainable change. I remain committed to showing up in the community, strengthening prevention, early detection, and collective action-because prevention is the road to cervical cancer elimination. Together, we can achieve the 90–70–90 global targets.”
