“Great to bring health minister Mike Nesbitt to National Cancer Institute (NCI) and meet senior leadership of NCI including new director Tony Letai and my good friend Satish Gopal presented on the strong links between NCI and the island of Ireland Health Research Board (HRB), Public Health Agency (PHA) and how we have delivered both the health dividend of peace and the economic dividend of health.

Showed how we are better together All-Island Cancer Research Institute (AICRI) and punch well above our individual weight in the quality of our joint cancer research. This is the first time that a health minister from Northern Ireland has visited the world renowned NCI and emphasizes the minister’s commitment to deliver a Northern Ireland Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Johnston Cancer Research Centre
