Mark Lawler, Associate Director of Postgraduate Studies, Chair in Translational Cancer Genomics, and Professor of Digital Health at Queen’s University Belfast, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Extremely proud to showcase (with my A1 partner William Gallagher) the island of Ireland to the world as we collectively punch above our weight in cancer research and innovation, delivering significant impact, particularly in joint research between Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Cancer Won’t Wait, Patient’s Can’t Wait, and We REFUSE TO WAIT.
We’ve shown the art of the possible – competing, not against each other but against our common enemy – Cancer. We now call out the Government at Leinster House in Dublin and at Stormont in Belfast to back us, through a shared island programme that delivers both the Health Dividend of Peace and the Economic Dividend of Health through an All-Island Comprehesive Cancer Institute. Cancer Knows No Borders – Neither should We.”
