Celebrating 2025 Achievements and Advancing Brain Cancer Research – Mark Hughes Foundation Centre

Mark Hughes Foundation Centre for Brain Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This week we celebrated a massive 2025 with the Mark Hughes Foundation Beanie for Brain Cancer, the MHF Board, our Advisory Committee and teams from University of Newcastle Office of Alumni and Philanthropy along with the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing.

Our stream leaders and MHF Brain Biobank Manager all shared updates on their novel research, national and global collaborations and exciting new initiatives.

At this event, the Office of Alumni and Philanthropy presented Mark and Kirralee Hughes with an artwork by Renae Lamb, a proud decendent of the Wiradjuri and Wongaibon people. This is an outstanding piece of work reflecting the brain, and the melding of traditional and contemporary science and medicine.

We are so honoured to work with such stellar people on such an important cause. We are determined to deliver better outcomes for brain cancer patients and their families and cannot wait to do even more in 2026 and beyond.”
