Marielle Santos McLeod, Director of Strategic Programs and Partnerships at Cancer Hope Network and Patient Research Advocate at the SWOG Cancer Research Network, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’ve always believed leadership isn’t about personal success—it’s about lifting others as you rise. One of my greatest joys is connecting people with opportunities that amplify their voice and impact.
A few months ago, I shared the Latino Patient Advocacy Training Program with several incredible cancer survivors from across the U.S. I’m thrilled that two were accepted!
- Monica, a metastatic lung cancer survivor, who continues to inspire with her strength and purpose.
- Arnoldo, whom I met during a Spanish CAR-T webinar, is both an early CAR-T trial participant and prostate cancer survivor-his story is a testament to perseverance and innovation.
Seeing their advocacy thrive reminds me why I’m so passionate about bridging nonprofits, industry partners, and patient advocates. When we connect people and purpose, real change happens. Here’s to building more bridges that empower every voice in cancer care. Let’s keep collaborating to drive equity and impact together.”
