Marco Pannone: Proud to Present an Abstract on Blood-Based Biomarkers in NSCLC at WCLC 2026

Marco Pannone, Scientific Alliances Manager of Oncology at Nordic Bioscience, shared on LinkedIn:

“Proud to share that our abstract has been accepted for presentation at WCLC26.

I will be on site with Rune Vestermark sharing our work on liquid biomarkers to track KRAS-induced tumor fibrosis and KRAS inhibitor efficacy in NSCLC.

Our findings highlight the potential of Nordic Bioscience’s blood-based extracellular matrix (ECM) biomarkers, including PRO-C3, to provide a non-invasive readout of fibroblast activity and collagen formation in the tumor microenvironment.

By tracking fibrosis dynamics directly from a blood sample, these biomarkers help identify patients with highly fibrotic tumors, monitor biological response to KRAS-targeted therapies, and improve our understanding of treatment efficacy and resistance mechanisms throughout the course of therapy.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this global exchange of research and clinical progress.

Abstract Title: Fibroblast Activity and Collagen Deposition: Liquid Biomarkers to Track KRAS-induced Tumor Fibrosis and KRAS Inhibitor Efficacy in NSCLC

Session: P3.061-175 – Tumor Biology – Translational Science
Session Date and Time: September 15, 2026, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Looking forward to connecting and discussing how blood-based biomarkers can advance precision medicine approaches in lung cancer.

Finally, a sincere thank you to all my colleagues and collaborators at Nordic Bioscience whose dedication and hard work were instrumental in generating the data behind this presentation.

See you in Seoul!”
