Mapi Fleury, Senior Pharmacist, Department of Oncology and Pediatric Oncology at CHUV Lausanne University Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last night, while preparing for Chicago and the ASCO Annual Meeting (ASCO26), I completed a Delphi survey related to supportive cancer care and guideline development work.
One question stopped me for a moment:
“How long have you dedicated your work to patients with cancer?”
For the first time in my life, I clicked:
“More than 20 years.”
That stayed with me.
More than twenty years accompanying patients with cancer.
More than twenty years dedicated to supportive care, pharmacotherapy, research, teaching, guideline development, difficult conversations, long nights, scientific meetings – and also hope.
An entire professional life built around oncology.
This year feels like the right moment to deepen that commitment even further.
It is therefore a true pleasure – and honestly quite meaningful to me – to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting this year also as a first-time ASCO Guidelines Volunteer.
Looking forward to seeing many colleagues and friends in Chicago over the next few days.
See you at ASCO26.”
