Reflecting on Some of the Standout Moments From Day Two at ESTRO26 – Manchester Cancer Research Centre

Manchester Cancer Research Centre shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today at ESTRO26, we’re reflecting on some of the standout moments from day two across the Manchester team.

Here are 3 key takeaways:

1. Marianne Aznar – Health economics framework and value assessment in radiation therapy trials

Marianne Aznar’s symposium talk highlighted the growing importance of demonstrating value in radiation therapy, not only in terms of clinical benefit but also through health economics and broader impact for patients and healthcare systems.

2. David Woolf and Agata Rembielak – high-profile clinical discussions

Manchester expertise was also represented in major clinical discussions, with David Woolf contributing as a panellist in the ESTRO-IASLC session, and Agata Rembielak joining the ESTRO-EADO debate on immuno-radiotherapy in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.

3. Strong paediatric and young adult research contributions

The day featured a particularly strong set of Manchester presentations in paediatric and young adult radiotherapy, including work from Lucy Siew Chen Davies, Denis Page and Jiaming Cao. Together, these talks and poster highlights reflected Manchester’s strength in imaging, contouring, late effects research and improving care for younger patients.

Congratulations to everyone presenting today, and especially to all those contributing to high-profile symposiums, debates, panel discussions and poster highlight sessions across the congress.

Looking forward to another inspiring day of learning, discussion and collaboration tomorrow.”
